Being Shy

Confidence, shyness, self esteem.

Being shy is very common, over 40% off people describe themselves as being shy. You may not really notice your shy, you might just see yourself as normal. From a very young age I have been very shy, I get nervous when going to parties (even if i'm close friends to everyone there) I didn't enjoy talking to strangers/people I didn't know very well, or people of authority (e.g. Teachers, policemen e.c.t)

For alot of people it isn't a hugely bad thing, unless it stops us from doing stuff you want to do. I think a huge part of being shy is the fact that lots of people just don't want to be a show off, or seen as a 'attention seeker' I can completely understand this. However you could be shy because of something that's happened to you, like getting rejected or bullied.

I never found shyness that big a problem for me, I had close friends, and I was never forced to meet new people regularly. But if it completely stops you from being your self and your constantly trying to be someone else, it makes you upset :-(

Shy people are usually very thoughtful friends, if everyone was loud and noisy they'd just be annoying. Being shy is DEFIANTLY not a bad thing at all, and you ARE NOT THE only one!

People who are shy, tend to feel lonely sometimes and they will always settle for second best, and not get what they want, usually because they're too embarrassed to say anything.

HOW TO STOP BEING SHY?

Being shy isn't something that can just go away, it's sort of like a fear (e.g. If you're scared of spiders, you cant make yourself not scared of them without practice, and facing one) It will take a while for your confidence to gradually increase, it won't happen over night. Just make friends, then make friends with they're friends then eventually your get used to it.

HOW I CAME OVER SHYNESS. MY STORY.

In Primary school, I was always a shy person, but had plenty of caring friends, I did briefly get bullied when i was about 10, but I made good friends with her friend and she eventually began to get bored -.- I never ever stuck up for myself though, it was impossible, bullies always make them self seem BIG and scary, and as if you'd never talk back to them with out getting hit or something, but if you do stick up for yourself (Maybe get your friends to help you, if  you're worried) they will stop.
During class 3 I had 3 very good friends but then, 2 of them moved away, it made me very upset but I still had my other friend. We became closer than ever, but when I moved to year 6, she moved schools too:-(
I made friends again with my other friend who I had been friends with for ages, just we weren't very close, we had always had arguments when we were younger (I think this also led to me being shy too) we became such good friends and I ended up becoming friends with her friend, she was a very loud person, and had loads of confidence, she was the one who got me over my shyness, up to this day i am so grateful for that girl, I was able to go to secondary school and make loads of new friends and be HAPPY:-) I am still friends with both of them and they're the best-est friends I could wish for.

Sorry for waffling on, but if you have problems with shyness you are not the only one, never pull yourself down, it only gets better! I hope my tips could help you.♥

Growing your hair!

How to grow your hair!

I've been trying to grow my hair now for a few months, and it is slowly growing longer, almost down to the hips now, so I've been looking up lots and lots of different ways to grow your hair faster, and I thought i'd tell you what I found out:-)

1)  Keeping you hair tied up in a braid/plait. This stops the ends of your hair from getting damaged, therefore it grows quicker. However there are lots of people who feel self-concious with they're hair tied up (I do) But just say to your friends: "I'm growing my hair, okay, so shh." :-)

2) When you are conditioning your hair, massage it in well, all round your head, this increases the blood flow to the follicles and, volia!

3) Apparently using olive oil helps, here are the steps:-

1. take some olive oil and pour some into small container

2. heat it up for 30 seconds

3. apply it to all your roots using your fingers

4. hang your head upside down for 4 minutes (this will help stimulate blood flow which helps hair grow)

5. leave it in for 2 hours then wash hair like you normally do

6. do this everyday for a week and you should start seeing results that same week or 2 weeks after.

4)Have a healthy diet! Eat lots of proteins (eggs) and vitamins, (like orange juice-VC)

5) I haven't personally tried this but Biotin   helps your hair and skin look healthier and your
hair grow. Roughly £6 (uk) Or I think you can get them in Walmart in the vitamin section (usa)

6)Try to take showers at night time, so you can avoid using the hair dryer (heat damages hair!)

7) Have your hair trimmed regulary (every month or so) Therefore protects you from getting split ends and your hair not growing:(

8)Drink lots of water! It flushes out the toxins in you hair, easy method!:-)

I hope some of these have helped, they have certainly helped me!

The Hunger Games!

The Hunger Games!

So recently the new Hunger Games 'Catching Fire' came out! After waiting at least a year(?) for the film, i thought it was absolutely AMAZING!
If you don't already know the base line of the series then here's the basics:

The hunger games is about a place called Panem that is controlled by the capitol. Each year as punishment the capitol chooses one girl and one boy from each of the 12 districts and send them into an arena and they fight to death until only one person remains alive. The story is based around a girl called Katniss from district 12, she hunts with her close friend Gale to get food to feed her family.

At the reaping (Where a boy and a girl, from each district gets chosen to go to the arena) Katniss's sister gets chosen. Katniss volenteers in her sisters spot, and another boy called Peeta gets picked.

They're mentor Haymitch guides them and teaches them all they need to know before going to the arena.

THEN THEY ENTER THE ARENA..AND FIGHT TILL ONE REMAINS....
(Dun dun derr)

Won't say anymore but i'm sure most people know the idea!

Anyway, I went to watch the film a week back, and I thought it was better than the first one? What's your opinions? However I still think the books are better! I don't know about you, but I get annoyed when bits of the book get missed out in the film, but I guess it'd be too long other wise.

I would DEFIANTLY recommend seeing it (if you haven't already!) REALLY REALLY looking forward to the last one! Shame we're gonna have to wait again!
Hehe, Thanks for reading please leave comments!

CHRISTMAS PRESENT IDEAS!

CHRISTMAS! IDEAS!

Firstly, welcome to my new blog:-)
I'm hoping to blog about: Fashion, (would say beauty, but unfortunately, I cannot do makeup) advice, confidence, music, and HAPPINESS! :-)

As Christmas is only 25 DAYS AWAY! I'd thought I'd blog about the thing I have most on my mind. What I really want for Christmas. The problem with Christmas is that, throughout the year you have loads of ideas of what you want for Christmas, then a few weeks away, with all the excitement, you ...completely forget what you wanted...and are left worrying that your not gonna get any presents.

But Do Not worry! Here are some ideas of Christmas presents. (These are only my opinions, if you don't like it...don't buy it!;]) I am a girl, so it's hard to think what a boy might want but i'll try suggest a few gifts too:)
Hope this helps!:-)

Kindle Fire HD
Okay, so in my opinion tablets are great! I would have to admit though that I think an ipad is the best tablet, but they are expensive, the kindle fire is only £120! (Okay quite expensive) But still? Pretty good in my opinion, Also check out the other kindle's! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kindle-Fire-HD-Display-Wi-Fi/dp/B00CTVTJ4Q/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385753652&sr=8-1&keywords=kindle

4.
Okay so, people have different opinions on clothes, but I think that this is a really cute little pinafore, which could even be worn in winter! You can't see on this picture but it actually has little blue and white strips on it! If you put a top underneath, a wolley cardigan on top, a scarf, tights, and boots you'd be all set for winter! And it's on SALE for only £15 right now at Topshop!http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?searchTerm=pinafore&storeId=12556&productId=10365856&urlRequestType=Base&categoryId=&langId=-1&productIdentifier=product&catalogId=33057

5.
This is the best! More of a boys toy but I still want it. A remote control helicopter! It is for indoor use only, but is light weight and comes in different colours and I think this is such a good buy for only £15.21 from Amazon:-)http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BFSF66O/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B00BFSF66O&linkCode=as2&tag=belfateleg-21

 :-) http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003FHXMDC/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1634&creative=6738&creativeASIN=B003FHXMDC&linkCode=as2&tag=belfateleg-21(Sorry kinda love amazon!)

7.
A slush Maker. Just thought it's cool, so yeah..:-) Makes slush......and that's yummy!:-) Quite expensive but i'm sure it's worth it as it's very good quality! Check it out?http://www.prezzybox.com/retro-slush-maker.aspx

8.

This is a good 'stocking filler' i guess:-) I've been looking at this for quite a while, still don't understand how it works. But it's a sound asleep imusic pillow, it plays music while you sleep, so you don't have to use headphones! Music and sleep at the same time. Okay. This is a must too.http://www.prezzybox.com/sound-asleep-imusic-pillow.aspx

9.
Mr Afro Nose and Ear Trimmer
A cool gift for a dad. Well, my Dad anyway. It made me Lol, so I thought i'd add it. Very cheap too, so why not? Such a lovely gift. http://www.prezzybox.com/mr-afro-nose-and-ear-trimmer.aspx

10.   IF ALL FAILS THEN...

If all of this fails, just buy them chocolate, most people like chocolate, don't they? Yes. And this picture just...is yum. Chocolate comes from most shops.
